Manchester United supporters blast'spoilt brat' Dean Henderson and wonder why he hasn't been sold following his fiery interview criticising the club's 'false promises'... as he prepares for his Premier League debut with Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United fans have attacked goalkeeper Dean Henderson after his outburst about the club's treatment last season.

TalkSPORT interviewed Henderson in a fiery interview. He described being benched as a 'criminal' for having received 'false promises about his role in the first squad.

According to the 25-year old shot-stopper, he was told that he would replace David de Gea at United's first-choice goalkeeper. However, he found himself watching as De Gea solidified his position as No 1.

Dean Henderson was a Manchester United goalkeeper for much of last season. He has now criticized the club for promising him a place as No 1 goalkeeper, but failing to honor that promise. Henderson moved to Nottingham Forest on a loan to get more game time.

To avoid another season of heartbreak, Henderson secured a loan move to Premier League boys Nottingham Forest. However, Henderson will be returning to Old Trafford next year unless a permanent deal is reached.

However, his outspoken views didn't go down well with everyone, even a group of United's adoring fans. Red Devils fans took to Twitter and Reddit to voice their displeasure with the England international.

Only three Red Devils first-team games were played by Henderson under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and then later, Ralf Rangnick, who was interim boss.

Henderson was desperate to get game time because he had not been able to play in the Premier League 2 fixtures. This is a far cry than the 26 times he played for United.

Henderson will not be available for Forest's fixtures against his parent club, but it remains to see what reaction he gets when he returns home to Old Trafford next season.

During his interview with talkSPORT, he stated that it was the most difficult 12 months in my career. It was tough, it was hard, but I am so glad I have come through it.

'The conversation that I had coming out of the Euros squad with England was that you were coming back to United to be the No. 1 goalkeeper. I got Covid and then, unfortunately, no one followed up with what they said to me.

"It's frustrating because I turned down so many loans last summer for that reason, and they wouldn’t let me leave. It is a crime to waste 12 months of my life. I was fuming.

In an effort to force a Forest move, Henderson also said that he would not speak with or train under Erik ten Hag, the new United manager.

He said, "No. He didn't want to see me in training. Because I knew he wanted me to stay. So I informed the hierarchy that I needed to play football and I didn't want to be second fiddle.

Tom Heaton will back De Gea this season, as he was one of United’s most outstanding players.
